asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what payment, if any, has been made by the Government of France towards the reduction of war debt this year?

The annuity due for the current financial year under the French Debt Agreement is £8,000,000. Of this, a payment of £4,000,000 was duly made on September 15th last, and a further payment of £4,000,000 is due on March 15th next.
