53. Captain A. EVANSasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware of the inadequate accommodation provided at the Employment Exchange in Penarth; that in rainy weather there is no shelter of any kind and it is a common sight to see hundreds of men standing about in the wet waiting to sign their names; that no private room is provided in the office for the transaction of interviews and telephonic conversation of a private nature; and will he, therefore, take steps to remedy this matter?
§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDI am fully aware of the unsatisfactory position here and am anxious to secure better accommodation. The matter is receiving active consideration.
