HC Deb 08 November 1928 vol 222 c205
30. Mr. CHARLES EDWARDS

asked the Minister of Health whether he has received communications from boards of guardians requesting him to pay the cost of the inspection of casuals for the detection of small-pox from national funds; and will he take steps to enable his Department to do this?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. There are no funds at my disposal out of which such a payment could be made.
