§ 24. Mr. T. WILLIAMSasked the Minister of Agriculture whether it is intended under the terms of the Agricultural Credits Bill to provide credits to farmers for the purchase of artificial manures?
Mr. GUINNESSThe object of Part II of the Agricultural Credits Bill is to provide a new credit instrument which will enable a farmer to borrow from banks on the security of crops, stock and other agricultural assets belonging to him. Farmers who take advantage of this provision will be able to apply money so borrowed to the purchase of artificial manures.
