HC Deb 08 May 1928 vol 217 c164
23. Sir R. THOMAS

asked the Minister of Transport when the Underground companies propose to instal escalators at Leicester Square Station?

Colonel ASHLEY

I am informed by the railway company that they realise that, in view of the continued growth of the traffic at Leicester Square Station, this station must, in order to avoid congestion, be reconstructed at an early date, and that schemes with this object are under consideration.
