The following Notice of Motion stood upon the Order Paper in the name of the CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS: That so much of the Lords Message [27th March] as relates to the Resolutions 'That it is expedient that in the present Session all Private Bills for the exclusive purpose of consolidating the provisions of existing Private Acts of Parliament be referred to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament: That the Joint Committee shall not take into consideration any Petition against any such Bill which seeks to alter the existing law' be now considered: That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Resolution: That a Message be sent to the Lords to acquaint them therewith.

I am prepared to move this Motion now, but, if any Member takes objection, I shall postpone the Motion until Thursday.
