asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether there have been any prosecutions by the Treasury for offences of smuggling by aeroplane; and, if so, whether he can state particulars of them?

The answer is in the negative.

Has the hon. Gentleman seen the reports that have appeared in some of the leading Sunday papers, stating that considerable smuggling by aeroplanes is going on, and will he make investigations?
