30. Mr. KELLY

asked the Minister of Health what reports he has received from urban, borough, or county councils with regard to districts in the neighbourhood of artificial silk factories where the process of manufacture is injurious to the health of the residents?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I am not aware that any reports suggesting that this process is injurious to the health of residents have been submitted to my Department.

Mr. KELLY

Has there been any intimation of any kind as to the injurious effect of this industry?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have not received any representations to that effect.
