§ Mr. RAMSAY MacDONALDMay I ask the Home Secretary for what business he proposes to suspend the Eleven o' Clock Rule?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSWe are asking the House to suspend the Rule in order to obtain the Civil Service Excess, 1926, and a formal Ways and Means Resolution. The Government also hope to get the Rating and Valuation Bill, 31 Report and Third Reading, and the Rating (Scotland) Amendment Bill. If the House is agreeable, I should like also to get the Instruction to the Committee on the Petroleum (Amendment) Bill, which will probably receive the support of all sides of the House.
§
Motion made, and Question put,
That the Proceedings of the Committees of Supply and Ways and Means be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[Sir W. Joynson-Hicks.]
