asked the President of the Board of Education the number of certificated and uncertificated teachers, respectively, employed during 1927?

On the 31st March, 1927, the numbers of certificated and uncertificated teachers employed in public elementary schools in England and Wales were 119,859 and 33,485, respectively.

Does that show an increase or a decrease over the previous year?

asked the President of the Board of Education if he has any available information as to the number of trained certificated teachers who were unable to find posts during 1927?

Is the attempt to raise the school age due to the fact that there are a large number of surplus teachers?
