HC Deb 07 March 1928 vol 214 c1114
7. Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the damage done to the war memorial at Hankow by the Chinese on the 4th January, 1927, has yet been repaired by the Chinese authorities?

The damage, I understand, was slight, but I have no information on the particular point raised in the question. My hon. and gallant Friend may be glad to know that arrangements were made last July for removing the memorial to a position within the compound of His Majesty's Consulate-General, a suitable site having been allocated for the purpose.
