HC Deb 26 June 1928 vol 219 c225
39. Mr. LOOKER

asked the Prime Minister if the Government will give facilities for passing the Reconstituted and Synthetic Cream Bill into law this Session?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

In view of the pressure of Government business, I regret that I see no prospect of special facilities being found for this Bill this Session.

Major COLFOX

Does the Prime Minister not realise that there is a strong demand in the country for this Bill as a protection for the consumer against substitutes which profess to be cream?

The PRIME MINISTER

Yes, but even that will not give us more time than we have.
