§ 12 and 13. Mr. MACLEANasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) whether any steps are being taken to protect the herring nursery at Loch Striven against the taking of immature herrings; and, if not, whether he is considering the issuing of Regulations for that purpose;
(2) whether he is considering the imposition of a close season for herring fishing in the Firth of Clyde or issuing Regulations for the use of fishing nets with a larger mesh?
