HC Deb 25 June 1928 vol 219 c19
48. Mr. T. WILLIAMS

asked the Minister of Health whether any representations have been made to him by local authorities in South Yorkshire on the question of rents of houses erected under the Housing Act, 1919; and, if so, will he state the results?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of HEALTH (Sir Kingsley Wood)

Certain local authorities in South Yorkshire have recently made representations in regard to rents of houses, and my right hon. Friend is in communication with them on the subject.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Are we to understand that the Minister of Health is willing to receive a deputation on this question?

Sir K. WOOD

I understand that some communications are passing between the local authorities and the Minister of Health on this subject, but I cannot give any indication as to what the result will be.
