HC Deb 25 June 1928 vol 219 cc37-8
66. Sir ALFRED HOPKINSON

asked the Minister of Transport whether he can yet give any information as to the road proposed to be made near the historic meeting house known as Jordans; and whether he proposes to take any steps to prevent injury to the meeting house and disturbance by the construction of such a road?

The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Colonel Ashley)

I have nothing to add to the answers which I have already given to questions on this subject. The local authority have town-planning proposals under consideration for this area. No scheme of road improvement has yet been submitted to my Department, but should such proposals come before me I will see that all practical alternatives are considered.
