HC Deb 19 June 1928 vol 218 c1570
1. Mr. DAY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his department has made investigations with regard to the allegations which have been submitted to his Department concerning the infringements of Part I of the Cinematograph Films Act; and can he say what action his Department has taken in the matter?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister)

I have nothing at present to add to the answers I have already given on the subject.

Mr. DAY

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether he has any special officers with a special knowledge of this business who can investigate these allegations?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I think, partly owing to the assistance given by the hon. Member during the passage of the Bill through Committee, all my officers have special knowledge.
