HC Deb 11 July 1928 vol 219 c2234
42. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has received any information as to the success achieved by the Standardisation Committee in Washington; and whether anything is to be done on these lines in this country?

Mr. DOUGLAS HACKING (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

I am aware of the progress made in the United States in regard to this matter. As to the steps; taken in this country, I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply which the President of the Board of Trade gave yesterday to the hon. Member for Anglesey (Sir R. Thomas), a copy of which I am sending him.
