HC Deb 09 July 1928 vol 219 c1829
12. Colonel HOWARD-BURY

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs the number of cases that have been heard by the Irish Grants Committee, and the number of cases that yet remain to be heard; and when it is expected that the work of the Committee will be completed?

Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

2,338 cases have been considered by the Irish Grants Committee, and approximately 1,790 cases remain to be heard. It is expected that the work of the Committee will be completed during the early portion of next year.

Colonel HOWARD-BURY

In view of the progress which has been made, can the right hon. Gentleman now say whether the £1,000,000 will be sufficient to meet all these recommendations?

Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

I must have notice of that question.
