HC Deb 02 July 1928 vol 219 cc945-6
1. Mr. SANDEMAN

asked the Undersecretary of State for India what steps if any, are being taken properly to house officers and their families serving in the North-West Frontier Province of India.

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Earl Winterton)

Enquiries have been made which show that no particular difficulty is reported with regard to the housing of officers in any station in the North-West Frontier Province except Peshawar, where measures have already been taken to relieve the situation created by the shortage of bungalows. My noble Friend has asked for a report on the general question of housing, and will continue to keep in touch with developments.
