HC Deb 29 February 1928 vol 214 cc414-5
50. Sir FRANK NELSON

asked the Prime Minister if he can inform the House of the personnel of the committee which is examining or is about to examine the rubber export restriction scheme?

The PRIME MINISTER

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave on the 15th February in reply to questions by my right hon. Friend the Member for Antrim (Mr. O'Neill) and the hon. Member for Montrose (Sir R. Hutchison).

Major-General Sir ROBERT HUTCHISON

Will the Prime Minister say whether there is any hope in the near future of knowing the personnel of this committee?

The PRIME MINISTER

I really do not know.

Sir W. LANE MITCHELL

Has the committee been constituted?

The PRIME MINISTER

I believe the committee is working hard at the present time.

Sir W. LANE MITCHELL

Who are they?

Mr. MACQUISTEN

Will it be an instruction to the committee, seeing that we have consulted Germany about films, that we do not consult the Americans about rubber?
