§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDThe estimated cost of administration of the Unemployment Fund in the year ending 31st March, 1929, is £4,930,000. The amount of unemployment benefit to be paid will, of course, depend upon the volume of unemployment; for the calendar year 1927 it was £36,750,000.
