HC Deb 29 February 1928 vol 214 c416
58. Mr. Mac KENZIE LIVINGSTONE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether, seeing that the Ninth Report of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments and Constructions of Scotland was published in the Recess, he will now say what steps, are proposed to carry out the recommendations of the Commissioners regarding the monuments in the Outer Hebrides, Skye, and the small isles?

Sir V. HENDERSON

The full Report, with detailed inventory, and illustrations, will not be ready for some weeks. As I have already informed the hon. Member, the Ancient Monuments Board for Scotland will no doubt, in making recommendations to the Commissioners of Works, give due weight to the Report. If there is any specific unscheduled monument which, in the opinion of the hon. Member, is in immediate danger, perhaps he will communicate with me.

Mr. MACQUISTEN

In dealing with the question of ancient monuments, will my hon. Friend consider some of the boats used in the transport service?
