HC Deb 28 February 1928 vol 214 cc194-5
17. Colonel HOWARD-BURY

asked the Secretary of State for War whether the Imperial War Graves Commission are looking after the graves of prisoners of war who died in Germany; and, if not, whether he can take some steps to see that they are properly looked after?

The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)

Yes, Sir. The graves of British soldiers who died in Germany as prisoners of war are maintained by the Imperial War Graves Commission in the same manner as British War Graves in other parts of the world.

Is my right hon. Friend aware that in certain places they have not been properly looked after, and will he make inquiries?

Certainly, if my hon. and gallant Friend will tell me the places to which he refers.
