HC Deb 28 February 1928 vol 214 c219
62. Mr. RENNIE SMITH

asked the. President of the Board of Education if he can give particulars of the reformed Adult Education Committee; and if any special inquiries are being undertaken at the present time by this body?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)

I sent the hon. Member on 20th December last a list of the names of the members of the Committee as reconstituted. Perhaps he will let me know what further particulars, if any, he requires. As regards the second part of the question, I understand the Committee at its last meeting decided to review, in the light of experience, the aims and purposes of the different types of adult education, the needs they are designed to satisfy, and the suitability of the methods employed.

Mr. SMITH

May we take it that the field for adult education in the villages will be taken into account?

Lord E. PERCY

Certainly, under this formula it will certainly be taken into account.
