HC Deb 27 February 1928 vol 214 c4
9. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India what will now be the position with regard to the proposed Royal Indian Navy, in view of the rejection of the Indian (Navy) Discipline Bill by the legislative assembly at Delhi?

Earl WINTERTON

My Noble Friend is in communication with the Government of India on the subject, and I cannot at present make any statement.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Will the Noble Lord let me know when he is in a position to make a statement?

Earl WINTERTON

I will inform the hon. and gallant Member, and perhaps he will put down a question.
