HC Deb 20 December 1928 vol 223 c3213
51. Mr. BUCHANAN

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if the Glasgow Town Council have made any representations to his Department as to the disposal of sewage by certain towns in the neighbourhood; and, if so, what action has been taken?

Sir J. GILMOUR

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, the Scottish Board of Health, after full consideration of the representations made by the corporation and of all the circumstances, have issued a decision sanctioning the construction by the Eastern Committee of the County of Dumbarton of an outfall sewer outwith their district and within the City of Glasgow.
