HC Deb 20 December 1928 vol 223 cc3195-6
5. Mr. HURD

asked the Home Secretary whether he has received a memorial signed by councillors, school managers, and other representative residents of Wanborough and district, asking that the provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment Act which comes into force on 1st January shall be brought to the special notice of magistrates and the police; and whether he will comply with this request?

Sir V. HENDERSON

My right hon. Friend has received the memorial referred to. On 31st August last the special attention of every chief officer of police was drawn to this Act, and this Act, like other Acts, is sent to all Courts. Attention will no doubt be drawn further to the Statute by this question and answer.
