Ordered, That so much of the Lords Message of 17th December as relates to the appointment of a Committee on Indian Affairs be now considered."—[Sir G. Hennessy.]

So much of the Lords Message considered accordingly.

Ordered, That a Select Committee of Eleven Members be appointed to join with a Committee appointed by the Lords as a Standing Joint Committee on Indian Affairs."—[Sir G. Hennessy.]

Brigadier-General Charteris, Sir Robert Hamilton, Colonel Howard-Bury, Sir Alfred Knox, Mr. Wardlaw-Milne, Sir Frank Nelson, Mr. Geoffrey Peto, Mr. Filcher, Mr. Scurr, Mr. Snell, and Mr. Wallhead nominated Members of the Committee.

Ordered, That the Committee have power to send for persons, papers, and records.
