Friend invited the local authority to examine the matter in the light of the financial and industrial position of the town but he intimated that if they were satisfied on these points, he would be ready to consider their proposals for the erection of houses on the Burton Grange estate, and my right hon. Friend is, at present, as arranged, awaiting a communication from them.
