HC Deb 13 December 1928 vol 223 c2309
6. Mr. ELLIS DAVIES

asked the Home Secretary how many criminal assaults were committed on girls in the county of Carnarvon in the year 1927; and whether there is any reason to think the crime is increasing in the county?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

There were eight sexual offences against girls under 16, and four against females whose ages do not appear, known to the police in 1927. The figure relating to girls is higher than in previous recent years.
