THOMAS)asked the Minister of Health how far experiments have up to the present been conducted to ascertain what economies municipal water boards can effect, by the re-use of waste water, after filtration and chlorination, for industrial purposes; and what percentage of saving has been achieved?
§ Sir K. WOODMy right hon. Friend has no information showing to what extent such experiments have been conducted. In some instances local authorities re-use waste water for industrial purposes, but he cannot say what savings are effected.
