HC Deb 30 April 1928 vol 216 c1331
9. Sir R. THOMAS

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in the interests of co-ordination and efficiency on the railways of East Africa, he will consider extending the scope of the Inter-Colonial Railway Council now functioning in Kenya and Uganda to cover Tanganyika territory also, giving to Tanganyika suitable representation upon it?

Mr. AMERY

This question is included in the reference of the East Africa Commission and has, no doubt, been considered by them during their recent visit to that country. I do not propose to examine the matter further until I have received their Report.
