HC Deb 30 April 1928 vol 216 cc1313-4
4. Mr. THURTLE

asked the Under-Secretary of India whether the Government of India or the Secretary of State for India have any evidence of disloyalty to the Crown on the part of the ex-Maharajah of Nabha?

Earl WINTERTON

As I informed the honourable Member in reply to a question on the 18th April, and explained more fully in a subsequent statement in this House, the Government of India were satisfied, from evidence in their possession, that the ex-Maharajah had repeatedly taken part in disloyal activities since his departure from Nabha.

Mr. THURTLE

Will the Noble Lord be good enough to answer the specific question on the Paper as to whether this ex-Maharajah has been guilty of disloyalty to the Crown?

Earl WINTERTON

That is exactly the question which I have answered.
