HC Deb 30 April 1928 vol 216 cc1335-6
45. Viscount SANDON

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government are proceeding with the Rabbits Bill and, if so, when; whether the Overseas Betting Bill, the Aliens Bill, and the Judicial Committee (India) Bill are to be introduced this Session and, if so, when; if not, what is the cause of their abandonment; and whether, in the case of the Overseas Betting Bill, any income to the Treasury is thereby sacrificed and, if so, how much?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

It is the intention of the Government to proceed with the Rabbits Bill, and the Betting (Overseas) Prohibition Bill will shortly be introduced. It is not possible to introduce the Aliens Bill this Session, and with reference to the Judicial Committee (India) Bill I would refer my Noble Friend to the Administration of Justice Bill, which is now being considered in another place.
