asked the Minister of Health what steps he has taken to set up a committee to inquire into the general question of the training and supply of midwives; and have any members of this committee yet been appointed?

I have invited certain ladies and gentlemen to serve on this committee.


Can the right hon. Gentleman say when the names of the committee will be announced.


I have not yet received replies from those I have invited, but as soon as I have, I shall be in a position to announce the names.
