asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount of Corporation Profits Tax collected during the year ended eth April, 1928; and what amount had been refunded?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Churchill)

The gross receipt of Corporation Profits Tax in the year ended 31st March, 1928, amounted to £1,968,000, and the repayments to £177,000, leaving a net receipt of £1,791,000.
