HC Deb 23 April 1928 vol 216 c608
15. Mr. DAY

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the number of secondary schools that exist- exclusively for Malays in the Federated Malay States; and whether it is intended to increase this number?

Mr. AMERY

I regret that I am unable to furnish the information. Some little time ago I asked the Governor for a comprehensive report on educational policy, including the question of the higher education of Malays. He will doubtless furnish his Report after he has had an opportunity of discussing the matter with the Under-Secretary of State, who is now on a visit to the country.
