HC Deb 05 April 1928 vol 215 c2120
3. Mr. JOHN BAKER

asked the Minister of Pensions whether it is proposed to effect any change in the system of paying disability pensions of officers and nurses; and, if so, whether he will consider the possibility of eliminating periodical attestations and forms of application for renewals?

Major TRYON

No change is contemplated in the system, which has worked with convenience to the pensioners for many years. Periodical attestations are rendered necessary for both officers and men by the provisions of the Appropriation Act, and application for renewal of the payment vouchers, through which payment of pension is made by the Paymaster-General's Department, is only necessary usually once a year.
