HC Deb 03 April 1928 vol 215 cc1760-1
50. Mr. WADDINGTON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether any sums have been guaranteed under the export credits scheme to traders to export cotton textile machinery; and, if so, the amount of such credits and the countries to which the machinery has been exported?

Mr. HACKING

No separate record has been kept of the guarantees given by the Export Credits Department in connection with the export of textile machinery, and the extraction of the required information would involve the expenditure of considerable time and labour. I should be glad to discuss the matter with my hon. Friend if he would be good enough to speak to me about it.
