HC Deb 21 November 1927 vol 210 c1393
39. Mr. J. HUDSON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India the object of the visit to the Persian Gulf of Sir Denys Bray, Political Secretary to the Government of India; and whether there is any intention of increasing Indian commitments in that region?

Earl WINTERTON

I have no official information on the subject, but I gather from the newspapers that the object of the visit is merely to accompany the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf during a part of the latter's usual cold weather tour. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
