HC Deb 17 November 1927 vol 210 c1100
23. Captain BOURNE

asked the Home Secretary whether it is the intention of His Majesty's Government to secure the passage into law this Session of the Aliens Restriction (Amendment) Bill?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

Owing to the pressure of Parliamentary business, His Majesty's Government have decided that the Aliens Restriction (Amendment) Bill must be postponed until next Session, and Section 1 of the Aliens Restriction (Amendment) Act, 1919, will accordingly remain in Part I of the Schedule to the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill, 1927.
