STEEL-MAITLANDThe number of insured persons classified as belonging to the engineering and motor vehicle industries recorded as unemployed in the Glasgow area at 24th October, 1927, was 6,028 as compared with 16,641 at 25th October, 1926, and with 12,734 at 26th October, 1925. The answer to the last part of the question is in the negative.
