HC Deb 14 November 1927 vol 210 cc600-1
5. Mr. DUNNICO

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that dissatisfaction is being expressed in India at the delay in publishing the Report of the sub-committee of the Indian Sandhurst Committee which visited Europe and America; whether he is aware that the publication of that Report was unanimously recommended by the members of the whole committee, including Sir Andrew Skeen, the chairman of the committee; and when this Report is likely to be published?

Earl WINTERTON

I am aware that the non-publication of the sub-committee's Report has been criticised in India. As regards the second part, I have no information beyond that contained in statements made in the Indian Legislature on the subject. As regards the third part, it is not proposed to publish the Report.
