HC Deb 10 November 1927 vol 210 c355
46. Major GLYN

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government intend to find time for the necessary legislation to bring the Ministries of Transport and Mines to an end?

The PRIME MINISTER

I can add nothing to the answer which I gave on the 8th November in reply to a question by the hon. Member for North Tottenham (Mr. R. Morrison), to which I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend.

Mr. R. RICHARDSON

Having regard to the number of accidents in mines, does the Prime Minister not think it time to withdraw the proposal to do away with the Mines Department?
