§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Churchill)The gross receipt of Excess Profits Duty and Munitions Levy from the 1st April to 31st October, 1927, was, approximately, £3,244,000 and the repayments were £3,187,000, leaving a net receipt of about £57,000. I regret I am unable to furnish any estimate of the arrears of tax remaining to be collected.
