§ 45. Mr. CECIL WILSONasked the Prime Minister how many Chambers of Commerce have communicated with him regarding the proposed abolition of the Department of Overseas Trade; and how many of such communications express the view that the Department should be continued as hitherto?
§ The PRIME MINISTER (Mr Baldwin)I have received representations from the Association of British Chambers of Commerce in favour of the retention of the Department. The association informed me that they were expressing the views of their constituent Chambers. I have also received representations from several individual Chambers.
