HC Deb 25 May 1927 vol 206 cc2002-3
40. Mr. H. WILLIAMS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is in a position to give any estimate of the national income in 1925 and 1926, respectively?

Mr. McNEILL

No, Sir. The most recent estimates are those of Sir Josiah Stamp and Professor Bowley, who estimate the national income for 1924 at £4,213 millions, and of "The Economist," whose estimate for the same year is £3,900 to £4,000 millions.
