38. Colonel DAY

asked the Postmaster-General the number of circuits in use on the new Anglo-Belgian telephone service; if this service is available for all the principal towns in the provinces of England and Wales; and how many towns in Belgium have the benefit of this service?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

Ten circuits. The service is available between all the principal towns in Great Britain and all the principal towns in Belgium.

Colonel DAY

Has the right hon. Gentleman under consideration the question of a reduction of the fees after seven o'clock at night?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

I should require notice of that question.
