HC Deb 23 May 1927 vol 206 c1632
18. Sir R. HAMILTON

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been drawn to the judgment of the Supreme Court of Kenya in the case of Douglas Morange and others v. Chief Mwichuki and the Attorney-General, decided on 27th October, 1925; and if he can state what steps the Government propose taking to clear up the conflict of opinion with regard to the rights of natives occupying lands within a native reserve?

Mr. AMERY

I have no information as to the case referred to. The question of individual tenure is difficult, and I am in communication with the local Government on the subject.
