HC Deb 19 May 1927 vol 206 cc1367-8
49. Viscountess ASTOR

asked the Minister of Labour whether any decision has yet been arrived at on the question of the ratification by Great Britain of the Washington Hours Convention?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

On the 4th May a statement on this matter, of which I am sending a copy to the Noble Lady, was made on behalf of the Government in another place by my right hon. Friend the Lord President of the Council. I am not in a position to add anything to that statement.

Viscountess ASTOR

Is it not true that the statement was that Lord Cecil was in Geneva? Now that he is back, we would like to get an answer on the point.
