49. Viscountess ASTOR
asked the Minister of Labour whether any decision has yet been arrived at on the question of the ratification by Great Britain of the Washington Hours Convention?
§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND
On the 4th May a statement on this matter, of which I am sending a copy to the Noble 1368 Lady, was made on behalf of the Government in another place by my right hon. Friend the Lord President of the Council. I am not in a position to add anything to that statement.
Is it not true that the statement was that Lord Cecil was in Geneva? Now that he is back, we would like to get an answer on the point.
